Burn is now available!

Boy, its been a while. After all this time however, I have finished my novelette called Burn. This is a prequel story to "The Broken", which explains why certain conflicts are occurring and it gives some insight on certain characters later in the book. This story is also linked with the short story series "Perfect part I" and "Perfect part II". Fun trivia for you guys, this is the very first story I ever wrote. It was based off of music I was listening to, in addition to some feelings about a certain event in my life back in high school. I won't go into detail on that, but I will say that this was originally written late in my 9th grade year of high school. I remember writing in my little pocket notebook with a really nice pen almost every day in class and lunch, never getting bored with it or ever having writers block. One of my friends took a look at it and said it was pretty good. It wouldn't be till the next grade year that I would return to it, this time for a school grade. My class had a write a science fiction short story, and to my excitement, I was allowed to use Burn as my story. The only thing I had to do was make it school friendly, and lengthen it a little bit. I got started right away and went all out on it. This was by far the most fun I had in a class and I made the most of it. The day came for peer reviews, and to my surprise the two people to read it really enjoyed it. Sadly the teacher never read the story, she really only wanted the story to meet the criteria of the assignment (amount of pages, was it science fiction, and how well the layout was). Inspired after the assignment, my creative juices started flowing through my veins, and I started thinking of a concept, listening to music more, and started writing stories about random things I was thinking about at the time, thus "Perfect part 1" came to be wrote. I kept it to myself more than Burn sadly, so I didn't get much feedback on the story and my writing style. Later on I would start to write again when I had time, and eventually started the first novel in "The Broken", wrote "Perfect part I and II" and then I took a look back at Burn. I thought about how I could improve it and better incorporate it into the series. Well, after all this time spent on it, I now have something to show for it, and I've got to say, I'm very proud of what I put together. As of yesterday it is available for purchase on the Amazon Kindle marketplace. You can get it here. As of now I am still currently working on the first novel in "The Broken', and believe me, its not going to be done any time soon, but writing a good novel takes times. In the mean time, I am working on another story that also takes place before the main series. So with two projects, plus college, plus work, I have a lot to do, but I will continue to write when I can. Till then, hope you all enjoy the story. Take care.

Perfect: Part 2

Hello again to all. It's been a while since I've posted anything but I am still writing non the less. Music wise, not really focused all that much, but there are still possibilities for music in the future. Any who, with all that said, I have been working on an older piece of work I wrote up in high school, which I am trying to extend to where it takes the form of a novelette rather than a short story. Going by the name Burn, this particular story is quite essential to the start of main story which is The Broken. More details will come for that story as it progresses. Right now, however, I have a second short story which is part two of the last story I posted called Perfect. The last part of the story was my take on what it must be like to be a thrown away child (mostly through the process of abortion, but also as in being given up to foster care or an orphanage). This second part of the story takes on a different subject, and that would be child abuse. This story follows a little girl through her life in an abusive relationship with her... sorry, no spoilers. The point of Perfect is to bring forth awareness of certain things in this world that I find to be big problems. I make these characters to resemble victims of real life issues, and through these stories I hope to find that some people take these matters to heart and help combat these issues. Apart from that, however, these characters will also make an appearance later on in The Broken, assuming a much larger role than what they take on now, and all these things that happen to them will make them stronger by that time. Bare in mind that this story does contain a bit of harsh language. Without further ado though, here is Perfect Part 2.

Perfect

Ok, I haven't been on here in a while, so I thought I might as well throw something on here for a change. Bare in mind that this is a story that I wrote back in sophomore year. It may sound a little cheesy at points, but this does play a pretty decent part in the main story. It may be a while before the character is incorporated, but he definitely plays an integral part later on. Initially, this story was suppose to be about Pro Life support, and in a way it still is but in an interpretive kind of way. Hope you guys enjoy this, I did the best I could on this and I think this is the way it should be. By the way, the first novel in the series is still in production, just taking a long time to write. It will be done one of these days and I'm sure if you like this little piece, maybe you'll love the novel too. In the mean time, I've got a few short stories that will lay a foundation for the novel and explain a lot of things that happen in the story. Anyway, without further ado, I present Perfect.

Alright guys. Here’s a demo for you guys as a thank you for checking out UrbanerPilot. This is whole album is free so don’t hesitate to download. Three of these tracks are rough versions of songs that will end up on the future concept albums, so you guys get the chance to hear what the atmosphere of the concept is. Bass Jam is just a simple dance tune I threw together, but has nothing to do with the story, so just a fun little party thing. Last but not least, 5:30 Beat, the bonus track I threw in, was the first actual electro song I’d ever thrown together, so it’s not the greatest song I’ve ever made, but then I thought what the heck. So there you have it. These songs were created using Looplabs.com but some editing was done outside of the website. Anyway, I could jabber on for quite a while now, but I’m sure you guys wanna here this stuff, so without further ado, enjoy. :-D

UrbanerPilot

Odd name for a blog? Well, this is what you’ll find in the artist column if you find my work. This name is actually my Xbox live name, I couldn’t think of anything better, so yeah it’s kind of an odd name. Right now It’s just me as a solo artist, not much I can do about that right now due to high school, but someday I’m hoping I can get my friends to join me in my quest to blow the musical genius out of the heads of everyone who listens to me. What I’m trying to do with my music is to incorporate electronic music with alternative rock and ambient music to get a feel of the story I’m trying to tell in my work. I was heavily influenced by Coheed and Cambria for my direction among other artists like Daft Punk, Job for a Cowboy, Pink Floyd, and many others, however, Coheed and Cambria are my all-time biggest influence. After hearing their music for the first time I was completely awestruck by the vocals and the tone of their music, so I did some research and found their music being linked to a graphic novel series known as the Amory Wars. I had never thought of a book or comic being the whole focus on an album, so after thinking about it, I thought why not try it out on my own stories. So I immediately started writing and came down to an idea for a sci-fi universe of my own. I wanted a story that would be compelling toward a number of audiences, especially teens. Basically what I have come up with involves real life scenarios like lost love, rape, war, and suicide attempt. This novels mood was influenced heavily on The Broken by Coheed and Cambria (no surprise there) and ended up being the name of the novel series as well. As of now the novel is still in its early stages of writing, but come time for spring break, I’ll have plenty of time to work on it. The idea for the story is all completed; I just need to actually write it. At best the book should be done by the end of this year I hope, but I will be posting the progress of the book as it comes along. The cool thing is that this is just the first novel in the series, the other novels will come soon, and albums will be coming with those too. Anyway, not only will you get updates on the novel, but you’ll also get short stories posted on the site along with mp3s for them. Bear in mind that these stories are all related to the same universe as in the novel series. Check from time to time and I’m sure I’ll have some new story or song or even both up from time to time. Hope you guys enjoy it and spread the word if you do.
